Reading The Artists Trilogy is like reading 10 books in one, oh my gah, so much happens, it will give you whip lash. I’m an emotional mess. I will tell you this, I was never for Ellie and oh boy did she PISS me off in Shooting Scars. I was debating if I wanted to finish the series, but I AM SO HAPPY I DID!!!!

Everything that happened in Bold Tricks was everything I wanted, expected and more!!!!!

Things I loved

Ellie redeemed herself… THANK GOD!

Camden grew some manely sexy balls…. THANK GOD!

Plenty of action… plenty of steam (sort of)

One word to describe Bold Tricks is - > ACTION! There’s a lot that goes on.

There will be spoilers from Sins and Needles and Shooting Scars.

So, Ellie, Camden and Javier are on their way to save Gus, Ellie’s mom and Javier wants to take down Travis. Sounds like a perfect trio right? Yeah, not so much, but oh boy the tension was intense. I was never a fan of the whole Camden verse Javier love triangle. I felt that everyone had their own faults and maybe that is why everyone else loved them so much and I had issues.

I never really got over Camden hitting his ex-wife, or Ellie having sex with Javier. So with that, I could never really love them as much as I wanted and should. Bold Tricks could have easily been a five star read, but because I was too deeply hurt from Shooting Scars, I couldn’t do it.

I see that Ellie grows A LOT in Bold Tricks. She’s more assure of herself and very determined to do what’s right. Camden also grows up. He’s beefy, he’s manly and knows how to use a gun, which to me just means SEXY!!!!

You made me feel like I had another half, someone else who understood what it was like to be unwanted

The tension between Ellie and Camden is crazy and it’s what I wanted and needed from the previous two books. Even though most of Bold Tricks is Ellie, Camden and Javier on the run, there’s plenty of issues that go on to keep you entertained. Camden is confused as ever and is deeply hurt by Ellie’s previous actions. Javier, well we never know what he’s up too, but he’s a fun read regardless. Just when I think an issue is resolved, ten more pop up. It’s a page turner!

Finish the series off, it’s worth it.
