Enshrine by Chelle Bliss [REVIEW]

I thought I knew what was important, but one phone call sent my life into a tailspin. Alone and afraid, I clung to the one man I shouldn’t. I was warned about him and told to stay away. “He’s dangerous,” they said. But the man who could hurt me the most, gave me the greatest comfort. "He's not who they think," I told myself. But just like an illusion, things are never what they seem.

4 Overcoming all odds Stars

I haven’t read a Chelle Bliss book in a long time. I actually haven’t read one since her debut book, so I was very curious to how her writing style has changed.

The one thing I really enjoyed when I read Enshrined was the dialogue. It’s a heavy dialogue based book and it’s 100% my cuppa. The writing flowed nicely and I really enjoyed the pace. There was never a dull moment. I liked how she developed the characters. I felt the character’s tension and mild angst.

Callie is at a crossroads in her life. She’s depressed and just doesn’t know what to do. I went into this book without knowing the premise and not like the premise gave anything away, but I was really intrigued by Callie’s story. She is in a bad situation and I was curious to how she would overcome it (if she does).

Bruno is not your white night. He has a shady past and everyone thinks he is a bad guy. BUT for some reason he ends up in Callie’s life. He’s the one that will help Callie. He’s the one that will kick her butt and get her to smile again, even if she is kicking and screaming the whole way.

Bruno is a strong alpha male character. I like there is a bit of a mystery to him and I like how you don’t know for sure if he is good for Callie, but him being so sweet to her, makes you want him! Bruno and Callie’s relationship is insta-lust and then insta-regret, but I really liked that. It hooked you to the pages.

Enshrine is a nice, no fuss, steamy read, great for a rainy day. You can read it in one sitting and completely get your fixed on a sweet romance.
