The Soul Mate is a standalone and is part of the Roommates series. It’s the last book of the series and I couldn’t have imagined any other book to conclude it with.
Gah, this book was so sugary sweet you will get cavities, but it’s so worth it. I love a good OB-GYN doctor Hero and might-be-pregnant Heroine storyline. Two strangers share a night of bliss and realize they won’t remain strangers.
Bren is a zoologist (super cute right?) and she’s VERY guarded. Her Daddy died and left her mother broken hearted, since then Bren has kept her heart intact and hidden by a very thick wall. She has a one-night stand with Mason and that’s all it should be for her, but life never really goes to plan.
Bren is one of those heroines you want to root for and help her out. She’s sweet, loyal and fun-loving, but good grief that girl can push people away. She likes Mason, but she doesn’t want to love Mason. The only thing is, it’s really hard not to fall in love with Mason.
Mason is probably one of the most realistic heroes I’ve read. He’s charming, smart and very caring. He loves his profession and it’s always (in my opinion) adorable when the Hero is a OB-GYN doctor. He’s not your typical male hero. He’s not a brute and **gasp** he believes in love and romance. He wants to find his soul-mate even if she’s really stubborn and might be pregnant with his baby.
I loved Mason. I always love it when the Hero chases after the Heroine. It’s makes for a good read and keeps the book flowing. There was almost nothing wrong with Mason, he made the book for me.
The Soul Mate is a fun, easy and light read. It’s only has the good parts without all that filler stuff you get from a meaty book. You can easily read this in one sitting and in the end you will have a big dopey smile on your face.
