Yes, I know all about you, Lieutenant Commander Gabriel Bristow, former commanding officer of American Navy SEAL Team Ten, bravo platoon, forced into retirement due to an injury sustained on your way to a training operation last year in Virginia
Yep, life isn’t good for Gabe Bristow right now. After forced into early retirement due to an injury, he’s offered to work as the leader to a hostage rescue team. Audrey watches in horror as her brother gets kidnapped and she does whatever she can do to help in the rescue team’s efforts. Gabe has enough to worry about as he fights off Colombian rebels and he now has to deal with the feisty Audrey Van Amee.
Two words to describe Seal of Honor is ACTION-PACK!
Wow, there’s a lot that goes on! It really did feel like you were experiencing an action movie. Once you think an obstacle is resolved, bam you are thrown into another one! There’s a lot of momentum and a lot of character build up too.
I really liked Gabe, he’s sexy, masculine and even with his messed up leg, it just makes you want him even more. I liked Audrey too, she’s sassy, caring and has a big heart. I thought the banter between Gabe and Audrey was great. It was funny with a slight sexual tension.
I wouldn’t call Seal of Honor too steamy, however, the few steamy moments were not to disappoint! I mean, I don’t know how horny I would be if I was in the jungle without a bath for days, but hey when in Rome!
This is the first book in the Hornet series and Burrows introduces the other characters a drunk Cajun linguist, a boy-genius CIA threat analyst, an FBI negotiator with mob ties, a cowboy medic and an EOD expert as volatile as the bomb he defuses oh my! Can we say swoon factor times ten?! I am excited about the other series and I like how each other person has a different background.
If you are into action pack reads, then Seal of Honor is PERFECT for you.
