OHMYGOSH, I LOVE THIS SERIES
There will be spoilers from the previous two books.
It’s very rare to find a series, where I love all the characters. Yes, I love them all, Lo, Lily, Daisy, Ryke, Rose and Connor. They are my best friends and when I read the addicted series, I feel like I’m part of their group, dysfunctional and all.
So, Lo is back from rehab and how does Lily handle the situation? She handles it to the best she can, but it’s very difficult when someone is threating to expose Lily’s addiction! **GASP**
The one thing that I love about this series and I hope it never changes is that it’s a book about the couple verse the world. I freaking love that! It’s very rare to see something like that because it’s very easy to pit the couple against the each other, but in this situation as the times get tougher, it only strengthens Lo and Lily’s relationship. BUT there are plenty of obstacles to keep you entertained.
Lo is coming back from rehab and Lily is a fun mess, in the sense, yes she didn’t cheat on Lo while he was away for three months, but it was easy for her to not self-love, not watch porn and not cheat because Lo wasn’t there. Now, that Lo is there, she’s trying to find a balance in handling hard situations and not going back to self-medicating, as in masturbating.
And dear Lo, he’s trying to battle with his addiction as well, but he needs to be there for his girlfriend who he absolutely adores and really, any man that denies his girlfriend sex even when she’s begging for it, deserves some kind of award. On top of that, he has to find out who is threating his girlfriend who is sending mean texts and packages.
Another thing I love about this series is there’s never a dull moment. The gang goes to Mexico and get this… they all have room together! Hilarious and it makes great tension. So you get little glimpses of Connor and Rose and my favorite Ryke and Daisy (who is still underage) < ----- the makings of a great book
The final thing to note in this series is the length of the book. I love long reads when it’s warranted and I really do feel like this series are. I loved every paragraph, problem, drama point and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I can’t wait to start Kiss the Sky and read Connor and Rose’s story next!
