My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4 SUPER SUPER SUPER DID I SAY SUPER… DARK STARS
Her Master’s Courtesan is dark. It’s darker than the Duet Series or any BDSM / Kidnapping book I’ve read.
It was intense
It was shocking
It was uncomfortable at some parts
It was so good!!!!!
Aiden is a Master. He’s cold-hearted, he doesn’t love anyone, but he loves his job. He kidnaps women and trains them to be the perfect
What I loved most about Her Master’s Courtesan was the prologue, if you can get through it and you are okay with it, then you will be fine during the read.
Aiden is rich, handsome and loves to be in control and dominate women. He has dominated women for a decade and loves every minute of it. He doesn’t get off from women crying, but he’s immune to it. He’s sadistic and has no qualms in getting rid of a woman who gives him too much trouble.
Rebecca is just a normal girl until one day she was taken into hell. Her Master is Aiden and once he trains her to be the perfect submissive, he will sell her. This is her life and she is nothing more but an object for her Master’s pleasure.
The dynamic between Aiden and Rebecca is intense and vicious. This is not the typical book, where the Hero has inner demons he must over-come. No, Aiden has no heart and he doesn’t empathize. He gets off in raping women and no matter how much Rebecca fights him and he keeps on punishing her until she submits.
He even makes her eat like a dog…
This book is very dark. There’s nothing redeeming about the Hero. So, where’s the story? The story is trying to understand who Aiden is. Typically, you want to know why the Hero does what he does. Not in this case, Aiden does what he does because he enjoys it. But his methods and the way he treats Rebecca is so fascinating.
Rebecca is confused and you feel for her. Each day something new happens and she dredges the day she is going to be sold. Does she fall for Aiden? Well eventually, she warms to his touch, but Aiden is so sadistic, it’s hard to warm to Aiden for too long. You wonder where the story will go because of Aiden’s games and let me just say, the whole read twists and turns.
There’s no typical language and typical dialogue. The book is refreshing, new and something every dark BDSM reader craves.
