Stranded with a Billionaire by Jessica Clare
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4.5 Fairytale Stars
If you are looking for a cute read that has a damsel in distress story line with a sexy billionaire, then this is your book. I love my crazy reads, but every once in a while, I want a no fuss, no mess, oh-my-gosh, it’s too adorable, please- rescue-me kind of book.
Summary
Logan is part of a society of men who are all wealthy (yeah, it’s kind of cheesy because they call themselves a “brotherhood”, when it should be just a club, but just go with it). All his life, people have used him because he is rich and because of that he is guarded and doesn’t do relationships.
Bronte is a waitress and wins a beach vacation. She’s poor and has a college degree but is very content in life. Since a storm is approaching the beach, everyone is being evacuated, but Bronte is stuck in the elevator with sexy Logan, who she doesn’t know owns the resort.
Review
Not the whole book is written Bronte and Logan stuck on the island, but a good chunk of it is (about 30%). I really liked the beginning because it’s just too CUTE! Bronte doesn’t know who Logan is, she thinks he’s a manager and so she kind of complains about the resort and what needs to be done to make it better. Logan doesn’t want to say anything because he is enjoying Bronte’s company because she is treating him like a normal person.
The attraction is pretty there and being the only two people left on the island, it’s pretty easy for the two to have insta-lust. Stranded with a Billionaire is very steamy.
I really liked the relationship between Logan and Bronte. I liked that Bronte doesn’t care about money and is shocked by the gifts Logan tries to give her. Logan is kind of a brute and isn’t too nice to Bronte, but he does care for her, so he tries.
I can understand the ratings, the story line isn’t overly dramatic, but sometimes I like that! I like the whole, falling in love with a Billionaire, but not knowing he’s rich story line. I read this in one sitting and I will keep up with the series.
