Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4 Love me Tatted Men Stars
I have been reading the Dublin series for a long time, there’s something about these characters that just get me so involved. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how fast and easy Echoes of Scotland Street was for me.
Summary
Shannon has bad luck with men. They have been abusive, mean, abrasive and just not good for her. She has sworn off bad boys for good.
Cole is the boy she met when she was fifteen and never really got to know. Now, Shannon works with Cole in a tattoo shop and Cole wants to get to know Shannon, but Shannon doesn’t want anything to do with Cole.
Shannon
Shannon has major issues. She’s been hurt in the past and not just one time. She doesn’t want to revisit any of that again. I overall liked Shannon, but she did get a bit frustrating towards the end on me. She’s really set in her ways and Cole tries really hard with her, but Shannon is not quick to budge. I’m not sure if I ever felt for the girl, but I understood her issues.
Cole
Even though Cole has tattoos and he’s all “bad” boy he’s a big sweet heart and I kind like he isn’t the typical Hero. Cole is very patient with Shannon and he isn’t really alpha, but just adorable. Kind of like the good-guy next door, but looks like a tough bad boy. It just worked for me.
Overall
I’ve been keeping up with the series and overall I really liked this one. I felt like there wasn’t any dull moments and plenty of tension to keep me entertain. I love Cole chasing after Shannon and trying to help her move past her issues. There are a few frustrating parts, but it only adds some nice angst I guess. If you have been a fan of the series, then you will not be disappointed with this one.
