A sassy, in-your-face baker. A panty-stealing, dirty-talking accountant. And a bathroom quickie that changed their lives forever.
Wedding hook-ups never amount to anything.
Unless that hook-up knocks you on your ass.
For Dylan Sparks and Reese Carroll, the big day can’t arrive soon enough. Dylan, stressed to the max from overbearing mothers and last minute preparations, struggles to keep her sanity. As for Reese, he’s fighting to not only keep his bride-to-be safe from creepy investors, but also to make it to the actual wedding day without losing his mind in the process.
Throw in a crazy group of friends, and a bachelor/bachelorette party weekend getaway, and you have a recipe for the sweetest wedding of the year.
Reese Carroll and Dylan Sparks cordially invite you to read Sweet Possession.
6 Possessive Stars
Have you met Reese? If not, well,
stay away from him because he’s mine. Nope, I do not share. Gah, if I could
pick any book husband, it would be Reese Carroll, please break me off any piece
of that.
Sweet Possession is the second book
of the sweet addiction series. Sweet Possession continues Reese and Dylan’s
relationship.
There’s something about these light
hearted books that make me all warm and fuzzy inside. Whenever I am in a funk
or need good romance books, these are my go-to reads. I will always have a
smile on my face and heck, let’s face it, it makes me appreciate my husband
(just a tiny bit more, but don’t tell him that).
I love Sweet Addiction and I am
always concerned when I go into book two in any series. I wonder how the author
will keep my interest, without the book being too angsty. Well, J. Daniels hit
it on the mark. There was mild tension, but no angst. It was pure
perfection.
I did the audio version and I will
have to scream at the top of my lungs that it’s the BEST way to go. The
narrator was PERFECT and I really enjoyed hearing all of the emotions and the
book consumed me.
I loved that Sweet Possession was simply
Reese and Dylan’s story and there was a fairly simple plot (them getting
married) but so much goes on. So Reese
and Dylan are planning a wedding. Oh what a joyous time! Dylan wants to elope, she finds the whole
wedding process stressful (and I don’t blame the girl). Reese wants a
traditional wedding and he is firm in getting what he wants. He is going to marry
Dylan in front of family and friends.
I love Reese (I know I already said
that, but be prepared I will say it tons more). I love how intense his love
toward Dylan is. It never bends and it’s to the point of obsession, but in a
good way. Reese needs to go on a
business trip, but since he can’t be away from his beloved for too long, he has
Dylan go with him. Don’t you just love him?! But wait, it gets better, the
whole gang goes with Dylan on the trip. I love it. I feel like the side characters add so much
to the story and it really makes it fun and happy. I even love quirky Brooke
and I love she will be in the next book! YAY.
Dylan and Reese’s relationships goes
strong, but there’s always the third party threat. You will have to read and
find out. This actually was my favorite part of the book (well second to the
steam!). I pretty much jumped my husband
after reading this one because the steam, well it made me blush in all the
right places.
If you love Dylan and Reese, you
have to read this. They are the perfect and adorable couple.
Audio Questions
What did you love best about Sweet
Possession?
Reese’s love for Dylan was the BEST part of
this book. He’s the perfect book boyfriend
/ husband. His love is the all-consuming love I love to read in these kinds of
books. It makes my heart melt and sigh with joy. Reese and Dylan’s relationship isn’t perfect,
but they work very hard towards over coming issues. I really liked this. It
made them real and completely addicting to read.
What other book might you compare Sweet
Possession to and why?
I would compare Sweet Possession to Kiss
the Sky by Krista and Becca Ritchie. Only because Reese and Dylan’s love
reminds me like Connor and Rose’s love. It’s the can’t-live, can’t-eat, can’t-breath
without-out-each-other love (yeah I quoted Sex in the City, but it’s true!).
Which character – as performed by Jeremy
Arthur and Piper Goodeve – was your favorite?
This is my first book by Piper Goodeve and
she is amazing! She is the perfect Dylan. Her voice was feminine, but it wasn’t
girly (since Dylan is older). She transitioned her voice well and I loved how
she changed into Reese’s voice. I felt her emotions throughout the book and she
made my audio experience wonderful. I will listen to any book she narrators.
This is my first book by Jeremy Arthur and
he only narrated the epilogue, so I don’t really have an opinion on him. I did
like his voice and it was pleasant to listen to. I wouldn’t mind listening to
his future books.
If you were to make a film of this book,
what would the tag line be?
I hate this question because I am not a
writer, but I would say…
Love is not only sweet, but possessively
addicting ß- I tried!
