Right by Jana Aston [Review + Giveaway]

My childhood was perfect.

I’ve led a charmed life, and I’m not going to blow it now
by picking the wrong guy.

I’ve got my sights set on my brother’s best friend.
He’s known my family for years. He’s reliable and kind and handsome.

Sure, he’s been avoiding me since I was six.
I’m a bit aggressive for him, maybe.

But he’s the one… right?

RIGHT is a standalone novel by Jana Aston

5 This is the RIGHT book Stars
Right is a standalone and isn’t part of any series, but there is a character you can find in the author’s other book, Wrong, which I equally loved.  Right is a standalone.

Like I said, I loved Wrong.  I didn’t know anything about Jana Aston, except for the raving reviews and my friend begging me to read it. I was really surprised that it was her debut novel. It was an instant hit for me and so I went into Right with mega high expectations.

I wanted to pee in my pants while reading Right. I wanted to swoon over the Hero and high-five the leading lady. Heck, I wanted to be the leading lady. What I got?

Right is the kind of book you want to jump into and block off hours of the day because you want to read it in one sitting. Right is the kind of book you will laugh so hard your belly will ache and your cheeks will burn. Right is the kind of book where when you finish, you want to read again and kind of jump your husband and kind of jump, I mean, ambush him in the hallway and suck his face off. I simply loved Right.

Right is about the Heroine, Everly (major love the name) chasing after her childhood crush, well sort of. She’s wanted her brother’s best friend ever since she met him and now she’s in college, she’s upping her game. She’s still going for him, but sometimes, what you plan for your life (like living the rest of your life with your crush) isn’t what’s right for you.

This is Everly’s story in finding the Right guy or maybe the right guy finding her and convincing her of that. It’s super cute. I couldn’t get enough of it. The beginning is really adorable and it starts out with Everly explaining her situation between her and her crush. I really liked the way the beginning was written. It was just light and kind of different. It had a little mysterious vibe to it because you are wondering who she is talking to.

What really worked for me was the fact the Hero was chasing after the girl. I know the author mentioned this, but when I read it, I was thinking the same thing. I want a Hero to see the girl and say she is mine and I got that! I got Everly being chased and in the most alpha, yet adorable way. I seriously couldn’t get enough of it. The banter between the hero and heroine is addictive and crazy funny. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dialogue. I’m a major dialogue girl and I felt dirty highlighting all the fun lines, because a lot of the times, I think it too!

The writing is the best part of this book, it’s like the author was creating the perfect Heroine for me. I wanted to be her best friend and just hang out with her. She’s quirky, honest and cute. I love how she wants what she wants and is really confident. It’s so refreshing to read a strong gal, even when things aren’t perfect.

Overall, Right was flawless.  I loved the characters, I loved the storyline and I loved the writing. I didn’t want it to end. I wished Jana Aston wrote a million books by now, because I just want more. I crave more. She’s one of my favorite go-to authors. Now, if only the books were in audio (**hint**)

"I'd be happy to slide my cock past those lips of yours. But not tonight."
"What? Why?" It comes out a little shocked, and, if I'm honest, whiny. Is he saying we're not having sex today? Because I really want it. I've been thinking about it all morning. Fine. All week.
"Relax, Boots. I'm still going to fuck you."
"Whew." I exhale a giant breath and he just glances over and shakes his head.
"Can I fuck you without a condom?"
"No way. But I'll suck you off without a condom. And I'll swallow."
"Well, then."
"Hey, that's a good offer. I haven't swallowed since high school."
We're stopped at the light, making a left onto 22nd Street, and he glares at me.
I scrunch my nose and grimace. "But perhaps you didn't need to hear that."
"Perhaps not."
"Oopsie." I shrug. "Anyway, why can't I suck your dick tonight? You're being unreasonable."
He bites the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing at me. We're on Market Street headed towards Penn Square and I wait while he pulls the car into the Ritz-Carlton garage, slides into his parking space and gives me his full attention. He puts his arm across my headrest and traces the shell of my ear with his fingers before speaking softly.
"Because I want to come inside of you, even if it's in a condom. And then I want to do it again. And again. I don't know if I can hold off a load for your throat until tomorrow."
I want to blow him in this car right now, but I'm guessing he's a few years past that stage in his life. Plus it's a very tiny car.
"But I promise I won't bring you home tomorrow night without letting you suck my dick. Deal?"

Wrong #1

Jana Aston is the New York Times bestselling author of WRONG.
She quit her super boring day job to whip up another book & is
hoping that was not a stupid idea.
In her defense, it was really boring.
