My first Sawyer Bennett book was Sugar Daddy and from there I have been binge reading this lovely author. I love this series so much! I had no expectations going into Sugar Rush, but I was very nervous because the second book of any series usually doesn’t live up to the first book.
Well, Sugar Rush was just as good as the first book and it will leave you completely begging for more just like Sugar Daddy. I bow down to the writing queen, Sawyer Bennett you did it again.
EVERYTHING you want will happen. You think the author will give you a typical storyline? No way, there’s going to be lots of everything. You will get answers, you will get tension, you will get swooning and you will get lots of steam.
Sugar Rush is a non-stop read and I guess if I had to complain about anything is that I wished I had more! I can’t tell you how amazing this series is and I love that I get three books out of it.
Sugar Rush begins where Sugar Daddy left off and don’t you fret, there’s a little recap to refresh your memory if you forgot anything. We were left devastated with Beck slamming the door in Sela’s face. I know, I cried too. What will happen? Will Beck eventually believe Sela about the rape? Will Sela be forced to prove herself? What about JT? Will there be redemption? Oh my goodness, you have no idea how much I was on pins and needles reading this book, it was such a delight.
Like I said, this book was so unexpected and I loved that the author didn’t do the typical route. I really did think this would be so over the top and angst filled, but it’s actually a really nice read. Sela is strong as ever and just when you think you hate Beck, but he will be melting your heart soon.
I just can’t stress enough how great this book is and how great this series is and YOU DO NOT want to miss it. Yes, read the series as each book is released because each book is a little treat to yourself. I promise you will not be disappointed.
