Hannah is a good girl. She’s a nerd in school and never strays from the straight path. One day, she’s accosted by a boy and Marco saves her. Marco walks Hannah home from school and from there, they forge a friendship.
Whenever Hannah misses her bus, Marco is there to walk her home to make sure she is safe. Their friendship is short lived when Marco goes back to the states and Hannah is left broken- hearted. Years later, Hannah sees Marco again and she’s, confused, angry and doesn’t know what to do with her feelings.
Review
Fall from India Place was a big slow at first. The first 20% is a lot of backstory on Hannah and Marco’s part. There are some flashbacks, but I really enjoyed them. The flashbacks showed what kind of young friendship they had. Marco was kind of like Hannah’s protector and you know I’m a sucker for Heroes.
Marco’s a mess as a kid. He has a problematic childhood and doesn’t believe he’s good enough for anything. When Marco meets Hannah, she’s like a breath of fresh air.
The small glimpses of their childhood were great and cute. Something happens and it causes Marco to go back to the states. Hannah is distraught and you feel for the girl.
I love it when Marco and Hannah meet for the first time. Hannah is a strong Heroine and very suborn. She doesn’t want anything to do with Marco, but Marco needs to apologize to Hannah and try to make a mends.
There’s more to the story than Marco trying to winning Hannah back. There’s a lot of hurt feelings and regrets and plenty of secrets to discover. I liked the relationship between Marco and Hannah because of their history and you just want them to work it out. If you are a fan of the series, then you will not be disappointed with this one.
