My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Addicting Stars

I’m starting to really like this series. Each Wild book gets better and better.

Summary

Violet’s best friend is a sex addict and Violet is always known to help people. Violet goes to the sex addict meetings with her best friend for support. At her first meeting she meets Jet. Jet is sexy rocker, lead singer for a band and is capital T, Trouble.

Review

I really liked this book because how easy going it was to read it and I really liked the plot. I was hooked within the first chapter and I found it funny that Violet pretends to be a sex addict to support her best friend.

Violet

Violet is a helper. She has an alcoholic father who frequently needs Violet to pick him up at bars and take care of him. Violet is always there for her best friend especially when her friends over drinks and needs someone to watch her. Violet doesn’t want to be addicted to anything, so she doesn’t really go out, drink or have any fun, unless she is forced to.

I liked Violet and you would think she would be taken advantage a lot in the book, but she wasn’t. I liked her because her character was nice, sweet and always loyal. She, to me, was a strong character and a Heroine I liked to read.

Jet

Jet is your typical rocker. He loves to play music and bang women. Since he’s semi-famous, he has his pick of the litter. Now, he wants to avoid sleeping with random women. His mom won’t let Jet see his brothers until he cleans up his act and Jet works hard to be the up standing guy he needs to be. Violet isn’t the typical girl Jet is use to dating. She’s very innocent and he doesn’t want to taint her, but he’s very drawn to her. So Jet asks Violet to be his sponsor.

Overall

The story isn’t based on Violet’s lie. Sure she attends a sex addicts meetings, but that’s not really the plot. The plot is Jet and Violet getting to know each other. As Violet sponsor’s Jet, she attends functions with him to keep him in check. Jet keeps his attention on Violet, but other girls can’t help but throw themselves at Jet. It was very entertaining to read these scenes and it was kind of funny seeing Violet become a little jealous.

I felt like there was good character development and the pace was nice. There is some tension because Violet needs to deal with her over helpful personality and Jet needs to deal with his sexual ways. There was a good balance of sexual tension and banter to keep me going.

Overall, it was a pleasant read, very cute and entertaining.

An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review
