WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO READ THIS??!!!! ALL THE REVIEWS are justified!!!
I want to slap myself silly for taking so long to read Loving Mr. Daniels. I guess you can say I’m the type of girl who doesn’t like to be mixed up with all the hype, but I couldn’t take it anymore!
EVERYONE kept on pressuring me to read it and oh my god….
Loving Mr. Daniels was emotional, dramatic, and beautiful all at the same time. You will be crying ugly, but beautiful tears
Ashlyn is dealing with the death of her twin sister. Now, she is sent to live her senior year with her dad in another state. She’s devastated, depressed and kind of lost. Before her sister died, Ashlyn’s sister wrote her letters. Ashlyn is allowed to open the letters as long as she does things off the bucket list that is given to Ashlyn.
I know… doesn’t it make your eyes tear up just a TAD BIT!
Anyhow, by the title, you can tell who Mr. Daniels is, so it’s that kind of story. I love these stories, but they are kind of difficult to read, because it can go wrong, real quick.
This one does not.
Ashlyn and Daniel
I love Ashlyn and Daniel’s dynamic. It’s intense, yet easy going all at the same time. Daniel is also a lead singer in a band and that’s when Ashlyn first meets him. I love how Daniel is the nerd Hero of the read. I love my nerds! He’s still is sexy, strong and crazy awesome, but there’s something about a guy that reads that brings a smile to my face.
Daniel understands Ashlyn’s pain because he has dealt with something similar. I find it sweet when a Heroine and a Hero share the same past pains. They have this fast, insta-connection and things take flight quickly. However, tension arises on Ashlyn’s first day of school and the story really picks up.
I also like that Ashlyn stays with her dad’s new family. Ashlyn befriends the new sister and brother and the relationship is super cute. I didn’t want to read Ashlyn bickering with people or act like she has a chip off her shoulder. She just acts like a typical hurt girl who needs comfort. Oh and those letters will get to you.
Overall, Loving Mr. Daniels was just perfect. It was sweet, it was romantic, it was intense and it was very emotional. There will be scenes were you will feel your heart break and there will be scenes where you will feel your heart swoon.
It’s a must read.
