Renegade Lady by Dawn Martens
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was sucked in by page one and I couldn’t put it down until I was done!
Summary
At sixteen Jenna’s father gives her away. She’s abused and raped by this man. Chipper, a brother from the Renegade Sons MC saves Jenna and treats her like a daughter he’s never had. Chipper has a little brother, Kidd and he notices Jenna. Jenna is too young for Kidd, but she’s very tempting.
Jenna
This book isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s gritty and raw. Within the first few pages, you will see it. Jenna is a very strong Heroine. She knows what she wants in life and that’s to be strong and not let anyone boss her around. She was abused so much as a child, she doesn’t want to relive any of that again. I get Jenna’s issues. I’m not a fan of “strong” Heroines, in the sense, they give lip and don’t give a you know what to anyone, but Jenna was tolerable. She was very set in her ways at times, but overall okay.
Kidd
Kidd has a lot on his plate. He’s dealing with MC’s politics and his crazy attraction towards Jenna. He knows he can’t have her, so to pass the time he uses other women. Kidd is a typical MC guy, a little on the sweet side, but still alpha, hardcore and very much manly. I love reading his attraction towards Jenna and how he becomes her best friend, instead of the lover he kind of wants to be, but knows he can’t.
Review
This book is wild. Jenna and Kidd’s relationship is an up battle with a lot of issues. Jenna and Kidd start out as best friends, but a lot of things happen and the relationship spans over years. Kidd pushes himself away so he doesn’t do anything he regrets and Jenna kind of bides her time until she’s legal.
Of course there’s another girl that comes to play and I love it when there’s a slight love triangle where the third part is kind of the villain. She’s a nasty piece of work. Then there are misunderstandings and just when you think Jenna and Kidd will work out their issues, bam, something happens and there’s tension, angst and lust.
It’s a long crazy ride, but overall enjoyable.
