My rating: 5 of 5 stars
5 I heart football and Rome stars
I’m not a fan of sport theme books, but Tillie Cole knows how to write some good stuff. One word to describe this awesome read is ROME!
The things I love about ROME… he’s so sexy, he’s so alpha, he’s so dominate… ugggg… I think I changed my panties twice from reading Sweet Home.
You’re everythin’ I thought I could never have.
Summary
Molly doesn’t have anyone. Her parents are dead and she has no family. She’s use to keeping people at bay and when things get tough she runs. She was in Oxford and now she’s in the states. She’s smart, nerdy and wants to be a professor.
Rome has a tough childhood. He’s star quarterback of the football team for a state that lives and breathes football. Everyone knows him as “bullet”. He uses women and doesn’t care for relationships because he can never find anything real.
Until Rome meets Molly.
Molly
I LOVE MOLLY! I have a special place for girls who wear glasses, are super nerdy and is into school **cough, me**. That’s right! BRING ON THE NERDY GIRLS!!!! She’s really cute and adorable and of course I love it when she doesn’t know anything about football or who Rome is. I also like the fact she’s British, which makes sense since the author is too.
Rome
I haven’t said this in forever, but Rome is the perfect book boyfriend. He’s a Hero to swoon and sigh over. You will be panting for him. Rome has a great balance of being a jerk and sweet at the same time. I’m all about the Hero pursuing the girl and doing everything he can to get her.
Overall
Molly and Rome have a meet cute. Molly goes to a party and she has to kiss a guy with a blindfold on and oh my gosh, I was gushing with huge smile. The whole college theme was perfect for me and I loved watching the relationship between Molly and Rome unfold.
There was tension with Rome’s ex flings and rough childhood past. Molly always has abandonment issues, but there wasn’t too much angst, just good drama that kept me interested.
I was sucked in with Sweet Home and I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s a must read!
