Bad Business (Bad Boys of Sports #2) by Nicole Edwards

Stone: Football is more than a game to me. It’s my calling. Becoming the Dallas Wranglers’ starting quarterback before I retire is a dream come true, but with a few wins under my belt, suddenly everyone wants a piece of me. And even though being in the spotlight has its perks—beautiful women, star treatment, more beautiful women—what really gets me sweating is the watchful gaze of my sexy-as-hell PR coach, Savannah Andrews. The catch? Her father is kind of my boss. . . .
Savannah:
In my family, football is big business. When your dad owns an NFL franchise, you learn a thing or two about schmoozing, and from what I can tell, it’s not a skill in Jason Stone’s playbook. Sure, the veteran quarterback is literally larger than life. With broad shoulders, muscles on muscles, and a mouth made for kissing, he may be one of the hottest men in the league—and I should know. I’ve turned down enough players to start my own all-star team. But those guys just wanted to get close to my father. Meanwhile, Stone is getting temptingly close . . . to me.

Memphis by Ginger Scott

My mom always said it was just something about the way he moved.
The same swagger Archie Valentine wore in the ring when he took his opponents down followed him like a halo everywhere he went. But make no mistake about it—he was no angel. He was like a drug. My mother was his addict.

I never understood it…how love could make you blind and convince you to drink the poison. Not until I met Memphis Delaney.

At first, it was the familiar form. He’s a fighter, built like a god from the past, the kind of man the universe doesn’t make anymore. His eyes hide a story, and every time I’m in his presence I want to keep reading him until I get to the end. And then…there’s the way he moves. His boxing is violent but beautiful, and his body is a seductive weapon. When he’s in the ring, he wears the stare of a man committed to the battle until his very last breath.

He could end me; turn me into her. Too much of him will leave me as a shadow, and I’ve lost so much of myself already.

Van (Cold Fury Hockey #9) by Sawyer Bennett

As one of the league’s toughest enforcers, Van Turner is ruthless on the ice. He plays hard because it’s the only way to channel the rage boiling inside, and a reputation as an A-hole is better than everyone knowing the truth. Van has spent his entire life running from a secret that’s kept him from getting involved in relationships—or accepting lucrative deals with East Coast teams. Then the Carolina Cold Fury makes him an offer he can’t refuse . . . and Van meets a woman he can’t resist.Simone Fournier is the stubborn one in her family—and that’s saying something, considering her brothers are two of the Cold Fury’s biggest stars. Simone gets what she wants, and what she wants is Van. Still, there’s a part of him Simone can’t reach, no matter how hard she tries. In private, he’s all fire and passion. In public, he freezes her out. Van may want to push her away, but Simone won’t let him go that easily. Because this time, she’s playing for keeps.

Rivalry by Nikki Sloane

This tight end is at the top of his game.
He’s good with his hands, even better with his sexy mouth, and the best at making me forget my own name. His—ahem—stats are perfect.

But I can’t fall for him.

He might be everything I want, all rolled into a glorious package of gridiron god, but there’s one teeny-tiny problem. The vile, loathsome team I’ve spent my entire life hating—my beloved school’s arch-rival?

This guy is their star player.

Lucas (Cold Fury Hockey, #8) by Sawyer Bennett

Lucas Fournier is only serious about one thing: hockey. The league’s fun-loving charmer, Luc is always up for a good prank or a great lay, and he has no intention of settling down. But being traded to the Carolina Cold Fury—and to play alongside his big brother, Max—is no joke. With another title in sight, the last thing Luc wants is to let his new teammates down. To succeed, Luc will need to keep his head in the game and the most . . . er, demanding member of his anatomy in check. But when temptation hits, Luc hits back harder.
Museum curator Stephanie Frazier has always put business before pleasure, which just about explains her nonexistent sex life. But when Stephanie meets Luc at a champagne-fueled gala, she finds herself flirting like crazy—and going home with the uninhibited athlete. For one night, she learns what passion is all about. She just never counted on the little surprise Luc leaves behind. And that’s when things really start to get . . . interesting.

Irresistible You (Chicago Rebels #1) by Kate Meader

Hot in Chicago series author Kate Meader returns with her all new, scorching Chicago Rebels hockey series, featuring her signature “steamy sex scenes, colorful characters, and riveting dialogue” (Romantic Times). Three estranged sisters inherit their late father’s failing hockey franchise and are forced to confront a man’s world, their family’s demons, and the battle-hardened ice warriors skating into their hearts.

Harper Chase has just become the most powerful woman in the NHL after the death of her father Clifford Chase, maverick owner of the Chicago Rebels. But the team is a hot mess—underfunded, overweight, and close to tapping out of the league. Hell-bent on turning the luckless franchise around, Harper won’t let anything stand in her way. Not her gender, not her sisters, and especially not a veteran player with an attitude problem, a chip on his shoulder, and a smoldering gaze designed to melt her ice-compacted defenses.

Roman (Cold Fury Hockey #7) by Sawyer Bennett [Review]

In a league full of troublemakers, Cold Fury defenseman Roman Sýkora stands out—at least when it comes to negative publicity. When he’s not chilling in the penalty box, the sizzling Czech skate demon is racking up tabloid headlines for his scandalous behavior with the ladies. But now Roman’s feeling the burn from management to clean up his act, or else. Luckily he’s got an enticing distraction: a fun-loving barista who plays the ukulele and brings out a side of Roman he didn’t know he had.

Lexi Robertson came to Raleigh, North Carolina, to finally meet her father, Brian Brannon, and her half sister, Gray, both of whom work in the Cold Fury’s front office. That’s where she first meets sexy, intimidating Roman—who’s really a big softie at heart. As one relationship takes off, another begins: Brian seems to be clicking with Lexi’s boss at the coffee shop. But when the friction between Roman and her new family heats up, Lexi wonders whether she’s a pawn in their game. Feeling hurt and foolish,

Max (Cold Fury Hockey #6) by Sawyer Bennett [REVIEW]

The ice is a cold mistress. As the league’s most eligible goalie, Max Fournier has access to his fair share of willing puck bunnies, but right now he’s more interested in bringing home another championship than a one-night stand. A romantic at heart, Max believes in love; he’s just not great at relationships. So when he finally meets a nice girl who’s not blinded by his celebrity, he’s feeling the heat—and the pressure to save her from herself.

Between working two jobs and raising her sister’s kids, Julianne Bradley doesn’t have time for sports—or men. All she knows about Max is that he’s the sexiest customer to ever grace her gas-station counter. And he sees past her tired eyes and makes Jules yearn for things she can’t have: a glamorous fling, a passionate lover, and the time to enjoy both. Max makes her feel like Cinderella, even though Jules has enough baggage to crush a glass slipper. Luckily, he’s no prince—only a fierce competitor determined to win her heart.

Hold my Breath by Ginger Scott [REVIEW]

Fractions of seconds can do lots of damage. One decision can ruin lives. A
blink can be tragic. And loving a Hollister…can hurt like hell.

I would know.

They say the average person can hold their breath under water for two full
minutes when pushed to the extremes. Will Hollister has been holding his
for years. The oldest of two elite swimming brothers, Will was always a
dominant force in the water. But in life, he preferred to let his younger
brother Evan be the one to shine.

problem—Derek refuses to talk to reporters. The son of a famed Illinois senator, this football star despises the media.

The Goal (Off-Campus #4) by Elle Kennedy [Review]

She’s good at achieving her goals…

College senior Sabrina James has her whole future planned out: graduate from college, kick butt in law school, and land a high-paying job at a cutthroat firm. Her path to escaping her shameful past certainly doesn’t include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she’s willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes, one night is all it takes for your entire life to change.

But the game just got a whole lot more complicated

Tucker believes being a team player is as important as being the star. On the ice, he’s fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer. It doesn’t hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes. The

Rookie Move (Brooklyn Bruisers #1) by Sarina Bowen [REVIEW]

Hockey player Leo Trevi has spent the last six years trying to do two things: get over the girl who broke his heart, and succeed in the NHL. But on the first day he’s called up to the newly franchised Brooklyn Bruisers, Leo gets checked on both sides, first by the team’s coach—who has a long simmering grudge, and then by the Bruisers’ sexy, icy publicist—his former girlfriend Georgia Worthington.

Saying goodbye to Leo was one of the hardest things Georgia ever had to do—and saying hello again isn’t much easier. Georgia is determined to keep their relationship strictly professional, but when a press conference microphone catches Leo declaring his feelings for her, things get really personal, really fast....

Zack (Cold Fury Hockey #3) by Sawyer Bennett [Audio Review]

Rising star Zack Grantham has been stuck in a downward spiral of grief ever since the car accident that left him a single dad and put his career on hold. Back on the road with the Carolina Cold Fury and still crippled by emotional baggage, he’s in need of some serious help with his son. But while the nerdy new nanny wins his son’s heart, Zack isn’t sure he’s ready for a woman’s touch—even after getting a glimpse of the killer curves she’s hiding under those baggy clothes.

Kate Francis usually keeps men like Zack at a distance. Though his athlete’s body is honed to perfection, he refuses to move on with his life—and besides, he’s her boss. Alex (Cold Fury Hockey #1) by Sawyer Bennett [Audio Review]

Hockey star Alexander Crossman has a reputation as a cold-hearted player on and off the rink. Pushed into the sport by an alcoholic father, Alex isn't afraid to give fans the proverbial middle finger, relishing his role as the MVP they love to hate. Management, however, isn't so amused. Now Alex has a choice: fix his public image through community service or ride the bench. But Alex refuses to be molded into the Carolina Cold Fury poster boy . . . not even by a tempting redhead with killer curves.

As a social worker, Sutton Price is accustomed to difficult people--like Alex, who's been assigned to help her create a drug-abuse awareness program for at-risk youth as part of the team's effort to clean up his image. What she doesn't expect is the arrogant smirk from his perfect lips to stir her most heated fantasies. But Sutton isn't one to cross professional boundaries--and besides, Alex doesn't do relationships . . . or does he? The more she sees behind Alex's bad-boy facade, the more Sutton craves the man she uncovers."

Hawke (Cold Fury Hockey #5) Sawyer Bennett [Review]

Off the ice, elite defenseman Hawke Therrien enjoys his fair share of booze and good times. And why shouldn’t he? He’s worked his way up from the minor leagues and made himself a star. The only thing Hawke misses from that life is the pierced, tattooed free spirit who broke his heart without so much as an explanation. She’s almost unrecognizable when she walks back into his life seven years later—except for the look in her eyes that feels like a punch to the gut.

Vale Campbell isn’t the same girl she was at twenty. As crazy as she was about Hawke, her reckless behavior and out-of-control drinking were starting to scare her. She had to clean up her act, and that would never happen with Hawke around. Cutting him loose was the hardest thing Vale ever had to do—until now. Because she’s still crazy about Hawke. And if he could ever learn to forgive her, they just might have a future together.

The Mistake (Off-Campus, #2) by Elle Kennedy

He’s a player in more ways than one…

College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.

Now he’s going to need to up his game…

After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.

6 Amazing Stars

I love this series so much! I love Elle Kennedy so much! I never want this series to end! OH.My.GOD. I LOVED ITTTTT!!!!!!!!!

The Mistake is a standalone and is part of the Off-Campus series. This is Logan’s story. He’s Garrett’s roommate.

I’ll admit. I was nervous reading this. I loved the Deal, like crazy mad-6-stars love so when I jumped into The Mistake I was on pin and needles.  Within the first chapter, I slapped myself in the face for ever doubting Elle Kennedy.

I don’t know who I love more, Garrett or Logan because both men make my heart putter and I’m a mess. I’m a goofy love-sick mess.

I absolutely love Grace. If I could be any Heroine in any series, it would be her.  She’s her own person. She doesn’t conform nor does she lash out. I find her adorable, lovable and the best friend I would want to have.  Grace is a freshman and as her year is almost over so she wants to live life a little. Yes she’s a virgin and even though she doesn’t plan on giving it up anytime soon, that doesn’t mean if she’s opposed to the idea.

Logan is Mr. Heartthrob. My panties are getting wet by just thinking of him. He doesn’t do girlfriends or relationships. He has a thing for Hannah, Garett’s girlfriend and you just feel Logan. I usually cringe when the Hero has lingering feelings on a previous Heroine, but Hannah is so awesome, I don’t blame Logan. So Logan doesn’t want to deal with his feelings and he gets lost with other girls.

Grace and Logan go to the same school, but they don’t really run into each other (they hang out with different groups of people), so when they do run into each other, it’s unexpected and completely adorable!!!!!

The chemistry is off the charts and can we say insta-lust! Of course Logan has issues. He has the Hannah thing and his family is stressing him out. He doesn’t understand what he feels towards Grace. But he does know that he loves being around her.

Why do you like me?

I’m not sure. We don’t know each other very well, but everything I do know about you, I like. And everything I don’t know, I want to find out.

Who wouldn’t? Grace is awesome. Like I said I love Grace. I love how Grace doesn’t swoon over Logan. Yes, she is attracted to him and I find her babbling while she is nervous completely endearing. I just wanted to put her in my pocket. I loved how Logan chases after Grace and I promise you the whole Hannah thing won’t distract you from the storyline.

Just like The Deal, The Mistake is filled with laugh out loud moments that will make your face ache because you will not be able to stop smiling. I could have read hundreds of more pages of this. This is my third book by Elle and this will not be my last. I’m going to pick up her Killer Instinct series, even if it’s another genre.

That’s how much I love this author.

Kissing Madeline (Dearest, #3) by Lex Martin

PURCHASE - $2.99 This week only!!!

5 Kissing Daren Stars

Kissing Madeline is a standalone in the Dearest series. Each book in the series are standalones.
Daren is Clementine’s ex-boyfriend. Clementine is the main heroine in book one of the Dearest series. Daren was just drafted into the NFL, he’s a newbie and he doesn’t get much play time, but he’s still a very popular athlete.  He’s recently single and ready to mingle. He has no intentions in settling with any girl.

Madeline landed her dream job. She’s a TV reporter for her local station. She wants to cover breaking news, something worth of substance. But her boss has other ideas. He wants Madeline to cover sports.

I love that the timeframe in Kissing Madeline is set after college. Each book in the series kind of progresses since Clementine’s book is during college.  I loved Madeline. I love how confident and career driven she was. I also love her name, but I am biased because that’s my daughter’s name, but I digress.  Madeline is no damsel in distress. She wants to make it as a reporter and is willing to work the hours to get it.

I’ll be honest. I was nervous reading about Daren. He wasn’t represented in the best of light in Clementine’s book, but I’m all about redemption. I’m also about reading the other side of the story. I loved getting to know Daren’s side. I didn’t realize all the problems he was dealing with in High School. I have to say, I do see him differently.

The banter and chemistry between Madeline and Daren is amazing! There is insta-attraction at first, but the book isn’t overly in your face steamy. It’s very tasteful. Madeline is a beautiful woman and Daren wants her.  Madeline is all about her job and I love that Daren chases after her. I’m a sucker when the Hero goes after the Heroine. It’s completely adorable and cute.

Tell me later why we’re a bad idea. But tonight let me show you all the reasons we work

She’s more than just a beautiful girl with an awesome laugh. More than a sexy woman with a great personality. She’s just… more.

Madeline wants to be a serious reporter.  She doesn’t want to interview Daren, because sports aren’t her field and it causes tension between Madeline and other co-workers at work. Daren also has ladies throwing themselves at him and Madeline has to deal with her cheating issues, which I completely understand. There are a lot of issues they have to deal with and it was delicious to read.

I wanted to be close to him. It was like I was addicted to him, to how safe he made me feel.

Overall, Kissing Madeline is a light steamy read. There was hardly any angst, but plenty of tension that kept me interested. What I enjoyed most was the character buildup.  I really felt the connection between the two characters. I loved the sexual tension, the cute playful teasing and even the crazy issues they had to deal with.

If you are a fan of the series, you will not be disappointed.

An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.

What’s the worst thing about wanting a sexy NFL football player? Everyone else wants him, too. After catching my boyfriend getting deep-throated by a skanky cage girl, I’ve learned my lesson – never date a professional athlete. Never. Besides, I have more important things to worry about, like not blowing my shot to make it as a broadcast reporter. I won’t let anything get in my way, not even the new “it boy” of the NFL and my hot-as-hell neighbor. What's the worst thing about getting death glares from his new neighbor? It doesn't make him want her any less. I’ve worked my ass off to make it to the pros. The last thing I need is the complication of a relationship, especially since my last one was a total train wreck. But I can’t stop thinking about the feisty girl next door with the smart mouth. And I’d love nothing more than to show her what to do with that mouth. Friends with benefits might be the best idea he’s ever had. Or the worst. Kissing Madeline is a companion novel to DEAREST CLEMENTINE and FINDING DANDELION. Each book is a stand-alone.

FINDING DANDELION (#2 - Jax and Dani) Amazon | Nook | Kobo | Paperback

4.5 Star Review - >>> REVIEW

When soccer all-star Jax Avery collides with Dani Hart on his twenty-first birthday, their connection is instantaneous and explosive. For the first time in years, Jax isn’t interested in his usual hit-it and quit-it approach. But Dani knows better. Allowing herself a night to be carefree and feel the intensity of their attraction won’t change anything when it comes to dealing with a player. So when Jax doesn’t recognize Dani the next time he sees her, it shouldn’t be a total shock. The fact that he’s her new roommate’s brother? That’s a shock. Dani doesn’t regret that night with Jax, just the need to lie about it. Since her roommate has made it clear what she thinks about her brother’s “type” of girl, the last thing Dani wants is to admit what happened. Jax knows he’s walking a fine line on the soccer team. One more misstep and he’s off the roster, his plans to go pro be damned. Except he can’t seem to care. About anything… except for the one girl who keeps invading his dreams. Despite Jax’s fuzzy memory of his hot hookup with his sister’s friend, he can’t stay away from her, even if that means breaking his own rules. But there are bigger forces at work–realities that can end Dani’s college career and lies that can tear them apart. Jax realizes what he’s losing if Dani walks away, but will he sacrifice his future to be with her? And will she let him if he does?

Lex Martin writes new adult novels, the sexy kind with lotsa angst, a whole lotta kissing, and the hot happily ever afters. When she's not writing, she lives a parallel life as an English teacher. She loves printing black and white photos, listening to music on vinyl, and getting lost in a great book. Bitten by wanderlust, she's lived all over the country but currently resides in the City of Angels with her husband and twin daughters.
