King (King #1) T.M. Frazier [REVIEW]

Homeless. Hungry. Desperate.

Doe has no memories of who she is or where she comes from.

A notorious career criminal just released from prison, King is someone you don’t want to cross unless you’re prepared to pay him back in blood, sweat, pu$$y or a combination of all three.

King’s future hangs in the balance. Doe’s is written in her past. When they come crashing together, they will have to learn that sometimes in order to hold on, you have to first let go.

5 WOW stars
Okay, so I’ll be honest. I didn’t know anything about this book. When I first saw the cover, I thought this was a MM Slave kidnapping book. I know, silly me! I should have read the blurb. This book had so many glowing reviews and I GET IT.

I’m a dark book junkie and this hit all the right spots. I had moments where I was shocked, gasping my breath and smiling ear to ear. T. M. Frazier had the perfect balance of tension, angst and of course my favorite romance.

King is not for the faint of heart, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Doe is homeless. Her best friend is a druggie and worst of it all, Doe doesn’t have her memory. She doesn’t know where she came from or who she is. She’s willing to do anything for food, even be someone’s girl for the night.

King is a bad man. He’s just got out of prison and he’s doing everything he can to remain sane. He’s ruthless, cutthroat and doesn’t care about anyone, but his two best friends and himself.

Doe shows up at King’s party right as King is having sex with a girl. I know… it’s it great?! I told you this was a twisted book. I love the damsel in distress theme. I love that Doe doesn’t have her memories and you know her past is going to be good. I also liked that the author didn’t do any flash backs. Yes, every once in a while Doe would remember something, but it didn’t distract me from the read.

I also love the chemistry between Doe and King. It’s off the charts hot and the tension is crazy. King isn’t looking for a relationship, but when he realizes Doe’s friend steals from him, well Doe will have to pay him back. By being his.

Yes, calling all alpha possessive males! Yes King is a brute, but he’s not staking claim on Doe yet and I love it. Like I said the tension is addictive. I also love King’s best friends, Preppy and Bear. They are fun to read. The book has so much more with King’s secrets and Doe’s past, which will lead to an EPIC conclusion and cliffy.
