Let me just put it out there.

You want damsel-in-distress? You want a sexy read? You want to cry ugly tears and laugh out of loud at the same time? You want to swoon over a book worthy boyfriend? ....

THEN FUCKING READ STRIPPED!!!

Grey is a classically trained ballet, jazz and contemporary dancer from small town Macon, Georgia.  In order to pay for college, Grey becomes a stripper.  Dawson is sexy, rich, super famous movie star who meets Grey at the strip club she works at.  Dawson is drawn to Grey, but Grey wants nothing but to finish school and start her career.

I loved Grey and Dawson!  Grey is what I call the classic and very readable Herione. I'll say it again, I LOVE the damsel in distress story line. Who doesn't want to read about a virgin stripping her way through college?  Grey's situation is sad, she's broke and all she wants to do is finish school.  You feel for her, especially when she's never been on her own.

And then there is Dawson...

Dawson is alpha male, he's powerful, rich and just freaking adorable at times too.  I thought the chemistry between Grey and Dawson was great. There was an equal balance of sexual tension and tease to keep me interested.  I would say there was an instant attraction when they first meet, but there's plenty of chase to keep up the friction.

And now here’s Dawson, this god, this iconic movie star, this all-too-real man, and he’s paying attention to me. As if I mean something to him. As if he wants something from me that I don’t know how to give. I don’t even know what he wants, honestly

 You make me feel like I’m someone, and not because I’m Dawson Fucking Kellor, either

I could snap my fingers and have six girlfriends, one for everyday of the week and Sunday off. I don’t want that. I’ve had that. It’s boring. I want you

I kind of want to put the disclaimer out there and say this isn't like the typical Jasinda Wilder books.  This isn't anything like Wounded, Falling Into You, and Falling Into Us (all I gave 5 stars) and with that said, I'm still completely happy with that. I love this direction. I can't really describe Stripped as light because it's not, yet I can't describe it as heavy, because it isn't. It's like I said before, you will cry and laugh at the same time.

If the story line interests you, read it. If you love Jasinda Wilder, read it. If you want a good read, just read it. You will be in for a treat for sure and the steam... is good.
